Our Story: From Personal Passion to Your Family's Past
Dedicated in loving memory of my late son, Joshua.
It all started with my own family tree, building it one branch at a time. Every clue I unearthed led to thrilling new discoveries and connections with long-lost relatives. Oral stories, once considered myths or legends, were proven to be incredible realities! What emerged was a rich and colorful family history, though a few ancestors still remain hidden, patiently waiting to be discovered.
During those years of researching my own family, I joined a local genealogy group. Soon after, I was asked to lead it, and that's where I met my dedicated genealogy partner, Tom Kanagie. Together, we co-founded Genealogy Detectives.
It was through this non-profit that A Tree of Life (which later became Budget Genealogy) was born, and it was with its creation that I took on my very first client. This year, Budget Genealogy celebrates its 6th anniversary since launching on social media—a launch that coincided with my business name change. Since then, I've had the privilege of completing over 50 genealogy cases and managing numerous DNA accounts for clients, connecting them to their genetic family.
Now, 21 years later, I invite you to partner with me. Let's bring your ancestors back to life from those dusty old pages, from forgotten chests in musty basements and attics.
